Currently, work on this feature is going on or testing is going on and it was seen in the Settings> Account Meenu of the app. Currently, it is not yet visible to the common users.
Users are expected to get three different options from the logout feature on WhatsApp. In this, the first “erase all data and preferences” will remove the entire chat history and users settings from the device. The third “cancell” option exits the logout process without any change.
If users keep their data saved, they can return to their account again and get access to their store message and file immediately when login. This feature is currently different from the current feature, where users want to stop using WhatsApp temporarily, they will have to uninstall the app or delete their account completely.
With the arrival of the logout button, WhatsApp has become like other messaging platforms, where already signs are facilitated such as telegram or signal etc. This can also prove to be useful for users who manage many accounts, especially who need to togue between private and professional profiles. So far no official information has come from Meta as to when this feature will start. However, it is expected to be started for beta testers before becoming a part of stable release.
The app is ready to provide a more convenient and friendly experience by giving users to log out without deleting data. Whether you are trying social media detox or just want to switch an account without losing your chat, the upcoming logout feature can be the feature that WhatsApp users have been waiting for a long time.
