According to the information, the marriage of Jyoti and Rishabh was fixed about eight months ago and all preparations were done with the consent of both the families. In the month of May, the bride’s side organized an engagement ceremony in a hotel in the city, in which around Rs 3 lakh was spent. At the time of engagement, the groom was given a gold ring, chain and Rs 5 lakh in cash. After this, before the marriage, the bride’s family gave gifts as per tradition, which included AC, fridge, washing machine and Rs 1.2 lakh in cash as shagun. But on the wedding night, just before the rituals began, the groom and his family allegedly demanded Rs 20 lakh in cash and a Brezza car.

The matter reached the police, the groom was taken into custody by the police
The bride’s family expressed their inability to arrange a car in such a short time and tried to explain, but the groom’s side did not agree. The matter escalated into a fight and the groom’s side tried to take back the wedding procession. After this the bride’s side informed the police. Cantt police reached the spot and took the groom Rishabh, his father Ram Avtar and his brother-in-law into custody for questioning.

This video is said to be from before the incident in which the groom is sitting in the carriage and is seen drinking water.
