Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recalled his first meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and told how much PM Modi has affected his life. In his social media post, CM Fadnavis wrote that when he was a young leader, he and Narendra Modi had a conversation for the first time in Nagpur, which he still remembers.
On X, Chief Minister Fadnavis wrote, “When I met Narendra Modi for the first time, I had no idea that this moment would leave such a deep impression on me. I was a young mayor at that time and was always eager to learn from the senior leaders of my party.”
He said, “The practice class was organized in Reshammabagh. I was also the president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Nagpur and hence the responsibility of the event was on me. We had made special arrangements for all the guests. The resthouses were ready for all the dignitaries.”
Narendra Modi wanted to leave the rest house and live in a small room
CM Fadnavis said that when Narendra Modi arrived, he first paid tribute to Dr. Hedgewar’s tomb. I asked him where he would like to stay. I felt that he would talk to the rest of the leaders to stay in the rest house. However, he did not do so. Instead, he just said that he wants to stay in a small room for Sangh workers inside Reshambagh.

When CM Fadnavis remained surprised
Chief Minister Fadnavis said, “I was surprised to hear his wish. It shows Narendra Modi’s humility and his deep association with the tradition of the Sangh. Throughout the program, he paid attention to every small thing and took special care that all the participants feel comfortable.”
The CM said that that first meeting left a deep impression in my heart towards Narendra Modi. I saw a leader who used to give importance to simplicity more than luxury and more service than post. This image of Narendra Modi always remained in my mind.
