Real feeling, passion and enthusiasm too
While talking to Lallantop, Sunil Shetty said, ‘When we were shooting the climax, especially that night scene – where Sunny paaji says, ‘Whoever has to stop, stop, the rest can go’. That moment came from the heart. In the climax, when I saw the Pakistani flag on the tank, the feeling that came, the expression that came automatically, was not of an actor but of a soldier. Yes, it was a reel on the screen… but the passion and enthusiasm were absolutely real.
This climax still touches hearts
Even today everyone remembers that scene – when the soldier goes under the tank with a bomb and blows up everything. Further, Sunil Shetty also told that questions were raised regarding this film. He said- ‘People had then raised questions that if the tank moves forward carrying a mine, how will the tank move backward?’
But JP Dutta Saheb was convinced. He believed, ‘The tank will go back because it is our soldier. This was his strength, his energy, his passion. And that became a defining moment of the border.
JP Dutta also narrated an interesting story
Let us tell you that apart from Sunil Shetty, the film’s director JP Dutta told an interesting thing while talking to Bollywood Hungama. He said, ‘Whatever may be the reason the film industry never said that the enemy is Pakistan. I took his name. The industry kept saying in the film that it is a neighboring country, but I took his name. It was I who said – Pakistan is our enemy.
Son replaced Sunil Shetty
Let us tell you that the upcoming film ‘Border 2’ is being directed by Anurag Singh. Sunny Deol will be seen in an important role in the film. Along with him, actors like Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh are also included. This time, instead of Sunil Shetty, his son Ahan Shetty will be seen in the role of an army jawan in the film. Like ‘Border’, ‘Border 2’ will also be full of patriotism and action.
