The dictator of North Korea reached Beijing, the capital of China on 1 September. He has gone to China by covering a 4,500 km long distance to participate in China’s military parade with his daughter. The most special thing about his journey was that he used the train instead of flight to complete the journey to China. Kim’s train is not only security, but also a symbol of luxury. This train has a restaurant coach, where special food is served. It is also said that laptops, special cigarettes and many phones from their gold are always on their table.
The train from which the ruler of North Korea travels, the name is Tayeengho which means sun. The name is associated with the symbol of the country’s founder Kim Il Sung. The color of the train is thick green and yellow strip on it. Experts believe that this color was selected for Camophlaz (camouflage), so that it remains from the eyes of enemies while passing through forests and hilly areas.
Train facilities
According to the South Korean media report in 2009, this armored train has about 90 coaches. It has a great conference room and audience chambers. Comfortable bedrooms and red leather arms are a metaming room equipped with armchair. Modern technology like satellite phone and flat screen television exists. Every box is strong and bulletproof in terms of security.
Safety and speed
According to the BBC report, this train is a moving fort. It is bulletproof and anti-bomb. Its average speed is only 50-60 kilometers per hour. Comparison, the high-speed train of London runs at a speed of 200 km/h and Japan’s bullet train at 320 km/h.
Historical trips
In the year 2001, Kim Jong reached Moscow after traveling for 10 days by this train to meet Russia President Vladimir Putin. Kim Jong Un also traveled 4,500 km from the same train for summit with US President Donald Trump in Hanoi in 2019.
Train route
This train often passes through China. Dandong passes through Liaoning province of North-East China and then from Sheenyang. After this, it crosses the hills of Manchuria and goes towards Beijing. On the way, this train passes through 177 railway bridges and about 5 tunnels. North Korea has the longest rail bridge on this route, which is more than 1200 meters in length. During the journey, this train also crosses the Yalu River Valley and the height of Western Manchuria.
