Ram Vilas Paswan’s stature has been very high in Bihar politics. He established the Lok Janshakti Party on his own and also gave it a place in regional politics. Ram Vilas separated from the Janata Dal (United) in the year 2000 and formed his new party. Many people know the stories of his political life, but most people do not know many things related to personal life. Ram Vilas Paswan himself was in love with a 12 -year -old girl in his age and later married.
The matter is from the year 1977. Ram Vilas Paswan became an MP for the first time and a government officer came to meet him with his 19 -year -old daughter. The daughter was studying in the first year of graduation and wanted to become an air hostess. When Ram Vilas met him, he fell in love at first sight. However, he was married about 7-8 years ago. His wife, Princess Devi, lived in the ancestral village of Rajbani. Paswan also called him to Delhi for some time, but then sent him back.
Who was the girl with whom Ram Vilas started loving
Ram Vilas was very much discussed due to a strong victory in 1977. At that time Gurbachan Singh, deputy director of the Ministry of Commerce, came to meet him one day. He was very impressed by Paswan’s nature and often met. Gurubachan Singh’s daughter Avinash Kaur wanted to become an air hostess. Senior journalist Shobhana K. Nair wrote in his book ‘Meteorologist of Indian Politics: Ram Vilas Paswan’, “Gurubachan Singh believed that if the Janata Party would make any recommendation from the party, then his daughter will be selected in Indian Airlines.”
Name changed after marriage
Paswan met Avinash Kaur with Gurubachan Singh for the first time in this connection. Avinash Kaur was 12 years younger than him. Ram Vilas sat hearted in the first meeting itself. Paswan had made up his mind for a second marriage. He divorced his wife Rajkumari about two years before the second marriage. At the same time, after marrying Paswan, Avinash Kaur changed her name to Reena. Reena first gave birth to daughter Nisha and then son Chirag.
Reena says in senior journalist Pradeep Srivastava’s book ‘Ram Vilas Paswan: narrow, courage and struggle’, she had told everything in the beginning. He had also mentioned the first marriage and told how he got married in marriage in childhood.
Cigarette was left at Reena’s behest
When Ram Vilas came to Delhi, he was addicted to paan, tea and cigarette. But he left everything at the behest of wife Reena and after that never put a hand on paan or cigarette.
