Iqra Hasan, MP from Kairana in Uttar Pradesh, said after stopping him and other Samajwadi Party (SP) leaders from visiting the violence affected Bareilly on Saturday that “unannounced emergency” is applicable in the state. There is tension in this district of Uttar Pradesh since a clash between police and protesters outside a mosque on 26 September in Kotwali area of Bareilly.
After the demonstration was not allowed by the police after the prayers of Jumme, a crowd of people carrying the poster ‘I Love Muhammad’ had gathered. Many people were injured in violence. A delegation of SP leaders said on Saturday that the police stopped them from visiting the city. SP MP Ikra Hasan said, “I am a resident of Uttar Pradesh and I am an elected people’s representative from there. We heard about the incidents of violence in Bareilly and wanted to talk to the people there to understand what their problems are and how the government is treating them. But we were stopped. ”

SP The MP said to ‘PTI-Bhasha’, “There is no law that can prevent us from moving freely in the country. There was no written notice (prohibiting entry) in the city. Therefore, this is clearly unannounced emergency in Uttar Pradesh. He said that party leaders will try to visit the city again. Hasan said, “We will not back down. We will go there. If not today, tomorrow or 10 days. We will go there and expose the agenda of this government.
