Now in the chat show of Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra, Bhuvaneshwari remembered the difficult days. She said, ‘Till that time my father did not know that I wanted to marry Sreesanth. This happened before Sreesanth was arrested. So one day I was in Hyderabad and all my friends asked me to turn on the TV. It was 7 in the morning and I saw that Sreesanth had been arrested for spot fixing. I was like oh God, what will I tell my father now? So it felt as if the earth had burst and you just wanted to disappear into it.
Sreesanth and Bhuvaneshwari remembered difficult days
Then Sreesanth said, ‘I told his father that I might not play for the country anymore. I want to pay a lot of respect to the entire Shekhawat family. Because at that time I was tagged as a terrorist. But he stood by me.
Bhuvaneshwari further said, ‘My father called me and he was very angry. He asked me to come back. I told him that I will come back only if you do not cancel this marriage and listen to me. Because even if God comes and tells me that he has done this, I will never believe it.
Sreesanth further said, ‘I met my father-in-law in the court. I was about to cry. But he consoled me. He told me to stay strong. I was in Tihar jail for 27 days and till the time I was in Tihar, Bhuvaneshwari used to sleep on the floor. Sreesanth also said that during those difficult times, he even thought of committing suicide.
