In an interview recently, Boney Kapoor, husband of the late actress, spoke openly about Sridevi’s dedication, which made her one of the all -time legend actresses.
Sridevi was very dedicated towards her work
Boney Kapoor told that Sridevi had no less sentiments and there was a time when he felt that his acting in Hindi films was getting affected due to the language barrier. Talking on YouTube channel game Changers, Boney said, “Sridevi did not know Hindi. Her first 5-6 films were dubbed in Hindi cinema, but she felt that it was having an impact on her acting, so she learned Hindi. She had a Hindi teacher in the dubbing theater and she started dubbing Hindi films.”
Boney Kapoor told how Sridevi’s dedication never diminished and how she was active about her work in her last film Mom, which Boney had financed. Talking about this, he said, “For the film Mom, she dubbed for the Tamil and Telugu versions, and she also dubbed a little for the Malayalam version, but she always sat with the Malayalam dubbing artist and saw whether the dubbing is keeping pace with her acting.
Sridevi refused to share room with Boney Kapoor
Boney Kapoor shared another anecdote related to mom production when Sridevi refused to share the room with her to avoid wandering. Boney revealed, “Mom was the 21st version of the script on which we finally shot. Most of the film was shot in Noida, Uttar Pradesh and later Georgia. But during this time we never shared a room. Sridevi said that she did not want to distract any kind of attention. She wanted to be a mother in the film.”
