Former Justice of Supreme Court and Vice Presidential candidate of India Block, B.K. Sudarshan Reddy on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) discussed several issues with the leaders of the India alliance in the Central Hall of Parliament. During this, he said that I remember a sentence said by Ram Manohar Lohia that when the road is silent, the House is stray.
Praising Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Reddy said that he (Rahul Gandhi) does not allow silence on the streets. It has become their nature and habit and facing challenges one after the other is part of their journey.

B. Sudarshan Reddy said that I am a little nervous, perhaps I am a little excited and a little thrilled. My happiness is not a place, when you address the nation on various issues, I keep listening to all of you from my seats. I follow most of you to know every one of you to know what is happening in the country. He further said that since I came from that ideology, I have remembered a line of Lohia ji, when the road is silent, Parliament becomes stray.
What did B Sudarshan Reddy say on the issue of SIR
Former Justice B Sudarshan Reddy also raised the issue of SIR in Bihar and said that the right to vote is the only democratic weapon in the hands of the people. He said that the universal rights of voting are getting challenges. The crisis that Bihar is facing, there can be no more serious challenge and no threat to the Constitution. The right to vote is the only means or weapon in the hands of the common man when an attempt will be made to snatch it, then what will be left in democracy.
‘Vice President’s Office is not a political institution’
Sudarshan Reddy told that a judge of the Supreme Court had asked him why he was going into a political quagmire. He replied that his journey started in 1971 as a lawyer and the current challenge is part of the same journey. He also said that the office of the Vice President of India is not a political institution.
