Foreign Minister Marco Rubio has made a big claim after US President Donald Trump’s claims of repeated ceasefire between India and Pakistan. US Secretary of State Rubio claimed that when there was a war between India and Pakistan, the US directly joined it. He claimed that US President Trump was successful in establishing peace between the two nuclear -rich neighbors.
India repeatedly denied Trump’s claims
Trump has reiterated his claim several times since May 10 that he helped end tension between India and Pakistan and asked the two countries that America would do a lot of business with them if they stop the struggle. At the same time, India has been continuously saying that agreed to end military conflict with Pakistan was made after direct talks between the Directorate of Military Operations (DGMO) of the two armies.
Trump is the President of Shanti- Marco Rubio
US Foreign Marco Rubio said in an interview for EWTN’s ‘The World Over’ program on Thursday (7 August 2025) that Trump is committed to peace and he is the ‘President of Shanti’. He said, “That is why we saw that when there was a war between India and Pakistan, we directly joined it and President Trump was able to establish peace.”

Marco Rubio also referred to other conflicts including Cambodia-Thailand, Azerbaijan-Armenia, the Conflict between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, saying that Trump also helped him to resolve. The US Secretary of State said that he is proud of these initiatives. He said, “We dedicate a lot of time to stop and end wars.”
