Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has confirmed that the post -mortem of singer Zubin Garg’s body has been completed by Singapore officials on Saturday. As soon as he landed in the water, Zubeen took off life jacket
The same Chief Minister said, “Despite repeated requests of crew and guard, the singer took off his life jacket as soon as he got into the water and called it oversized.” Sarma told reporters after visiting Garg’s residence in Guwahati on Friday night, “Later he was found floating in the sea. The crew tried to bring him to his senses and a CPR was given at the port, after which he was taken to Singapore General Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.”
How long will Guwahati reach the body of Zubeen Garg
Chief Minister Sarma said that after completion of formalities, Garg’s body will be taken to Delhi and then Guwahati by Saturday evening. The body will be kept at the Sarusjai Stadium for the last visit of the public. The Chief Minister said, “The family will decide how the funeral will be performed. Since Garg’s father is ill, we will also advise the family about whether the body should be brought to his residence or not.” Sarma said that the government will take a final decision on the cremation and memorial system only after the body reaches Assam.
