According to media reports, on August 19, Ajit Agarkar will announce the Indian squad through a press conference in Mumbai. The Asia Cup 2025 will begin on September 9 and the title will fight on September 28. It is being speculated that Team India’s captaincy will be in the hands of Suryakumar Yadav, who had to undergo hernia surgery recently.
According to the Times of India, Team India will be announced on 19 August for the Asia Cup. It is being told that only the players will be included in the Asia Cup squad only when the medical and fitness report is ‘OK’. Recently, the speculation of Shubman Gill’s return to the T20 team has been in full swing. It has been claimed that Gill can play in the Asia Cup as vice -captain.

No player’s name has been approved for the Asia Cup so far. Suryakumar Yadav will be seen as captain after hernia surgery. However, the situation is not clear whether Gill will become vice -captain or not.
