Actually, iOS has built-in data detectors to track flights. This feature has been present for many years. The special thing is that it neither needs setup nor any app will have to be installed for it.
How to track flight on iPhone?
The first method is message- This is the easiest way to track flights. If your airline or a friend messages you with a flight number, iOS will automatically detect it. This number will be underlined in the message like a link. Press and hold on it and you will get all the information related to the flight in real-time. If you tap on ‘Preview Flight’, an info card will open, which will also show departure and arrival times, flight delays and live tracking of the plane.
Spotlight search will also work- Even if you do not have any message related to the flight number, the iPhone still gives you the option to view information related to the flight. For this, swipe down the home screen and open Spotlight search. Now type the flight number in it. After this you will see a card drawn at the top of the screen. After tapping on it, all the information related to that flight will appear on your screen. In this, all the details including flight timing, departure and arrival time, status and live map will be available.
