Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced in the Assembly that the honorarium of Shikshamitras will be increased to Rs 18,000 per month. Till now he was getting Rs 10 thousand. That means a direct increase of Rs 8 thousand has been made. This increase is believed to be the result of the long standing demand of Shikshamitras. The government says that their role is important in the education system. Therefore, it is necessary to empower them economically. Will be implemented from April
The government has made it clear that the increased honorarium will be applicable from the month of April. That means, in the salary of April itself, payment will be made at the rate of Rs 18 thousand per month. This means that with the beginning of the new financial session, Shikshamitras will start getting the benefit of the increased amount. Necessary processes are being completed at the administrative level. So that salaries can come into the accounts of Shikshamitras from April.
Instructors also get direct benefit
This decision will not only affect Shikshamitras. In fact, the salary of more than 28 thousand instructors has also been increased. Now they will be given Rs 17 thousand per month.
