The debate and voting on the no-confidence motion against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla from the opposition will be held on March 9, 2026. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the second part of the budget session will run from March 9 to April 2. This session will be very interesting because many important laws and a critical bill will be presented in Parliament for debate and passing.

Voting will take place after the debate.

Rijiju said that if the opposition does not allow the House to function in the second part, then we will use guillotine. It will be a loss for them. If the opposition does not participate in the debate, it is their loss. Rijiju has also said that Trinamool has not signed the no-confidence motion.
