Filmmaker Hansal Mehta went to Colombo for shooting. During his visit, he found that even though the economy is staggering, political uproar is going on, but this city of Sri Lanka looks clean, more systematic and dignified.

Hansal Mehta expressed feelings on social media

He expressed his feelings on the social media platform X. He wrote, “Whenever I come to Mumbai, I get frightened, not only with dirt and anarchy but, with its broken infrastructure, with its collective indifference. We ignore it about the growing population. It is true, but we have such a population, which is told that they should not expect very little, do not ask for anything,”

He wrote, “There are high buildings here, which are more than the city. Seeing in the city is just a civic apathy wrapped in garbage roads, open drains and designer branding. A city suffering from consumerism, which is hollow from inside, how we will live in this way.

‘Those who have power ….’

He further wrote, “It has given me everything, just those who have power, it is entangled with their hands, which never lets it breathe. They take advantage of its rot and wear it flexibility.”

Hansal Mehta was reacting to the post of a foreign woman on social media, who lives in Gurugram. The woman wrote in the post, “Many of my foreign friends do not want to come here again.”

The woman also said that despite living in such a posh area, it seems that we are living in the post war zone or developing country.
