Vinod Kumar Shukla, a great personality of the Hindi literary world, awarded with Jnanpith and the most favorite poet of literature lovers, said goodbye to the world. Vinod Kumar Shukla breathed his last in Raipur hospital at the age of 89. The sorrow of his demise resides in the heart of every person associated with literature. Popular poet Kumar Vishwas also became emotional on the demise of Vinod Kumar Shukla.
Kumar Vishwas said, “Vinod Kumar Shukla’s demise is the end of an era of literature. For those of us who were born in the 70s and 80s, who became conscious of understanding and listening to poetry, Vinod Kumar Shukla was the standard name of Hindi. Listening to him and reading him was wonderful in itself.”
Kumar Vishwas further said, “The seeker trend is disappearing in the field of Hindi art. Studying while sitting in a corner in solitude, staying away from the social fabric, keeping writing and reading without worrying about publicity, keeping saying one’s point and releasing it into the world… without thinking whether it will be accepted or not, Vinod Kumar Shukla was among the last names of that process.”

Vinod Kumar Shukla will be missed in January’s literature festival
Remembering beloved poet Vinod Kumar Shukla, Kumar Vishwas said, “We were hopeful that he would be healthy, some time ago the Prime Minister had also inquired about his well-being. When Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai had gone to meet him, I had called him and asked how is the health of Vinod Kumar Shukla. We thought that we would see him in the literature festival to be held in January. He would preside over and inaugurate the festival, but he has gone on his last journey.”
Whenever a person sits in despair, Vinod Shukla will be remembered.
Not only this, Kumar Vishwas said, “A great symbol of Hindi has passed away. It is a big loss not only for Hindi but also for the Indian language. Whenever there is talk of Hindi in the world, Vinod Kumar Shukla will be remembered. Whenever a person sits in despair and extends a hand towards him, whenever he walks with extended hand, then Vinod Kumar Shukla will walk with us.”
