Mafia Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were murdered in police custody on 15 April 2023. The third son was killed in an STF encounter in Jhansi on 13 April 2023. While Atiq Ahmed’s elder son Mohammad Umar is lodged in Lucknow and second son Ali Ahmed is lodged in Jhansi jail.
There is a reward of Rs 50,000 on Atiq Ahmed’s wife Shaista Parveen and she is absconding. Ashraf’s wife Zainab Fatima and sister Ayesha Noori also have a reward of Rs 25,000 each and both are absconding.
