An academic discussion was organized here between famous poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar and Islamic scholar Mufti Shamail Nadvi on the existence of God. A large number of people attended this discussion and within no time the debate spread beyond the walls of the hall and spread to social media. This discussion on issues like faith, logic, religion and morality caught the attention of people across the country.
The main question of this debate was whether God exists? While Javed Akhtar was presenting his views on the basis of logic and scientific thinking, Mufti Shamail Nadvi was presenting his arguments through religious texts and philosophy. Giving an example, Mufti Shamail said that when even a small clock cannot be made without a maker, then how can such a huge and complex world be made without a maker. This argument deepened the discussion.
Who is Mufti Shamail Nadvi?
After this debate, the biggest discussion started regarding Mufti Shamail Nadvi. People wanted to know who this young Maulana was, who was openly expressing his views on subjects like God with such confidence.
Mufti Shamail Nadvi is an Islamic scholar, religious leader and speaker. He originally belongs to Uttar Pradesh. He was born in a religious family, where he received religious education and values since childhood. Since childhood, he was inclined towards religion, philosophy and studies.

Mufti Shamail Nadvi has received his primary and higher Islamic education from the country’s famous educational institution Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema, Lucknow.
