This time National Lok Adalat will be organized in Patna, the capital of Bihar on 14 March. It is being organized by the District Legal Services Authority. According to the district administration, this Lok Adalat will start from 10:30 am. Generally, cases like traffic challan, property division, land dispute, marital dispute, municipal corporation tax, house tax, bank recovery, check bounce, insurance claim and motor accident claim are heard in Lok Adalat. In these cases, both the parties are called and a settlement is reached on the basis of which both of them agree. In such a situation, if a person wants to settle his case in Lok Adalat, then he has to go to his nearest court, get information and give an application. After this the process of agreement takes place between the two parties. The disposal of cases in Lok Adalat is very fast, hence thousands of cases are resolved here every year.
What are the benefits of Lok Adalat?
The biggest advantage of resolving the case in Lok Adalat is that there is no court fee of any kind. If court fees have already been deposited in any case and the matter is resolved in Lok Adalat, then that fee is returned. Apart from this, the decision of Lok Adalat is final and legally binding, it cannot be appealed against in any higher court.

The District Magistrate of Patna has directed the officials to give wide publicity to the program so that more and more people can take advantage of it.
