Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra is ill. The actor is admitted in the hospital for the last several days. Dharmendra is 89 years old and will turn 90 on December 8. The actor was born on 8 December 1935 in Nasrani village of Punjab. Very few people know that his real name is Dharmendra Kewal Krishna Deol. But do you know which caste the actor belongs to? Dharmendra was born in a Punjabi Jat family, which belonged to a Hindu reformist movement called Arya Samaj. That means Dharmendra belongs to Jat caste. Dharmendra is a Hindu by birth but in 1980 he converted to Islam to marry Hema Malini. Actually Dharmendra was already married and he wanted to marry Hema Malini for the second time. On the work front, Dharmendra was last seen in Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’. Now he will be seen in the war film ‘Ikkis’. In this film directed by Shriram Raghavan, he will play the role of father of Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. This film will hit the theaters on 25 December 2025. Apart from this, he also has ‘Apne 2’ in the pipeline.
