To become an umpire in BCCI, BCCI organizes Level 1 Umpire Exam every year. In this, coaching classes are given to the candidates 3 days before the examination. After clearing this, candidates appear for Level 2 examination. What is the salary of an umpire?
An umpire’s earnings depend on whether he is officiating a domestic or international match. Generally, the fees of BCCI umpires is fixed in the form of grades A, B and C. In this, Grade A umpires get around Rs 40,000 per match and Grade B and C umpires get around Rs 30,000 per match. However, this salary depends on experience and match level.
