Which disease is Imran Khan suffering from? The first report came out after the treatment started, a big revelation

On Monday (16 February 2026), the report of a two-member medical team formed by the Government of Pakistan under the orders of the Supreme Court regarding the health of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has come out. It was reported in the report that Dr. Nadeem Qureshi, ophthalmologist and retina disease treater of Al Shifa Eye Hospital, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, and Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan, head of the eye department of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), went to Adiala jail on Sunday (15 February 2026) and these doctors conducted several tests on the eyes of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

What happened in Imran Khan’s eyes?

Both these doctors informed in the report given to the Government of Pakistan that the vision of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in his right eye without glasses has been recorded as 6/24. This is the same eye in which Imran Khan suffered from Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO) due to his blood pressure not being treated properly in jail for a long time.

It was told in the report that when Imran Khan was given a dose of anti-VEGF injection for the treatment of CRVO on 24-25 January. At that time, without glasses, the vision of Imran Khan’s right eye was 6/36. In such a situation, an attempt was made to tell through the medical report that Imran Khan’s health is improving after the first dose of anti-VEGF injection.

Apart from this, it was told in the report that after wearing glasses, Imran Khan can see well in his left eye and the vision is 6/6 and after wearing glasses, the vision in the right eye is 6/9. Apart from vision, it was informed in the medical report that the swelling in the inner part of Imran Khan’s eye is also less, here the swelling in the middle part was earlier 550 and now it is 350. This internal swelling was caused by a blood clot inside Imran Khan’s eye.

Apart from this, according to the report, the doctor has given three medicines to Imran Khan, in which one medicine is used to reduce swelling in the eyes, one to deal with glaucoma and one to reduce itching in the eyes. Apart from this, it was also informed in the medical report that PTI chief Barrister Gohar Khan and Allama Raja Naseer Abbas were called to PIMS on February 15 and the details of Imran Khan’s health were explained to them. Besides, Imran Khan’s Dr Khurram Mirza and Dr Asim Yusuf were also given information over phone.

What did the CM of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa say?

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, Sohail Afridi has reacted to the report prepared by doctors of Pakistan’s government hospital PIMS and army-run semi-government hospital Al Shifa Eye Hospital. He said, ‘In the report that he himself has released, it is written that Imran Khan’s eyes are recovering. This means that the eye was damaged, but how that damage occurred will always remain a question. Also, Sohail Afridi said that if any treatment is being given to Imran Khan at this time, it is being done in the absence of his family and his personal doctor, due to which the suspicions are increasing even more.
