Irfan Pathan on Nitish Kumar Reddy: Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has described an all-rounder as the next star player of the Indian team. Taking the name of Nitish Kumar Reddy, he said that Nitish should have got a chance in the ODI series from the first match itself. Irfan has been impressed by Nitish’s bowling speed of 135 km per hour and powerful batting. Nitish had scored 53 runs in the third ODI match. Irfan believes that the Indian management should support Nitish for a long time.

On his YouTube channel, Irfan Pathan gave advice to the Indian management led by Gautam Gambhir and said, “Nitish Kumar Reddy was a positive aspect of this series. He scored a fifty with the bat, and played in place of Washington Sundar in Rajkot. I think he should have got a chance from the first match of the series itself.” Irfan Pathan also said that Nitish bowled at a speed of 135 kmph and described him as a good backup to Hardik Pandya.
He further said, “Even if Reddy fails, Team India management should continuously support him. After some time, the Indian team will get a good all-rounder.”
Nitish Kumar Reddy made his debut for Team India in the year 2024. So far, he has scored 396 runs including one century in 10 Test matches and has also taken 8 wickets in bowling. So far, he has got the opportunity to play 4 ODI matches, in which he has scored a half-century. Apart from this, he has 90 runs and 3 wickets in his name in four T20 matches.
