For the first time in the Asia Cup, eight teams are scheduled to participate, which will be played till September 9-28. The matches will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, the host of the tournament is India. BCCI agreed to match the UAE due to consent on neutral venue with Pakistan. So far, a total of 5 countries including India and Pakistan have announced their respective squads.
Talking about the Indian squad, Suryakumar Yadav will be the captain, while the weight of the vice -captain has been assigned to Shubman Gill. Senior players like Hardik Pandya to Akshar Patel and Jaspreet Bumrah have been included in Team India. At the same time, the Pakistani team will come in the Asia Cup without Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan and the team will captain Salman Ali Aga. Apart from them, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Hong Kong have announced their respective squads.
