
If we talk about 2025, China has currently become the world’s largest wheat producing country. Wheat is cultivated on a large scale in China and especially Henan and Shandong provinces are at the forefront in this matter. According to reports, this year China has produced about 140.1 million tonnes of wheat.

India is the second largest producer of wheat in the world. Reports suggest that in 2025, India will have grown about 110 to 117.5 million tonnes of wheat crop. North India is the center of wheat cultivation in India.

Wheat crop is highest in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The soil and climate of these states are suitable for wheat cultivation. India’s wheat production not only meets domestic needs but is also exported to many countries.

Russia is at number three. According to reports, Russia has produced about 81.5 to 85 million tons of wheat in 2025. Russia’s crop is important not only for local needs, but also for export to Asia, Europe and Africa.

America also produces wheat on a large scale. The major wheat producing regions of America are Kansas and North Dakota. In 2025, America produced approximately 44.9 to 53.7 million tons of wheat.

France is the largest wheat producing country in Europe. About 30 to 34 million tonnes of wheat is harvested annually in France. This crop is exported not only to European countries but also to some parts of Africa.

Canada is also included in the world’s largest wheat producing countries. Here mostly wheat is cultivated in the prairie provinces. Canada’s production in 2025 is approximately 33 to 35 million tonnes. Canadian wheat is considered of high quality and is exported to the international market.
