Henil Patel was born on 28 February 2007 in Valsad, Gujarat. 18-year-old Henil is the main bowler in the Indian Under-19 team. Henil Patel took 6 wickets in two innings of a test against Australia Under-19. He took 4 wickets in 4 innings of 2 Tests against England Under-19. He took 2 wickets against Pakistan in the Under-19 Asia Cup final, although India lost that match. He plays for Gujarat Under-19 team in domestic.

Henil Patel dominates in the first match of U19 World Cup
In the first match of Under-19 World Cup against USA Under-19, Henil Patel bowled 7 overs, in which he took 5 wickets for just 16 runs. He took the first wicket of the innings in the form of Amrinder Gill (1). After this he dismissed Arjun Mahesh, captain Utkarsh Srivastava, Amog Reddy, Sabrish Prasad and Rishabh Raj.
The Indian team is included in Group B in the Under-19 World Cup. Along with America, there are teams from New Zealand and Bangladesh. India’s next match is with Bangladesh on 17 January and the third match is with New Zealand on 23 January.
