ICC announced to appoint Sanjog Gupta as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Sanjog is a well -known face in the global media and entertainment. He has taken charge today, 7 July. He is the 7th CEO in ICC history. On his appointment, ICC Chairman Jai Shah said, "Sanjog has a broad experience of sports strategy and commercialization, which will be priceless for ICC."
Sanjog is appointed at a time when cricket has been included in the Olympics. He also believes that by joining the Olympics, cricket will get more fame globally, this is a good thing for this game. More than 2,500 applications were received from 25 countries for this post. The ICC’s HR and the Remuration Committee selected 12 candidates. The final selection for this post was done by the Nomination Committee. The board appointed Sanjog Gupta as the new CEO with the consent of everyone.

Earlier Sanjog was the CEO of Sports and Experience in Jio Star. He has more than 20 years of experience in this field. He has been a journalist. In 2004, he was associated with Star News India. After this, he worked in many media institutions. In 2020, he became the Sports Head of Disney Star, in 2024 after the merger of Disney Star and Vikam-18, he became the CEO of Jio Star.
