Who is Manoj Jaran?
Manoj Jarange Patil was born on 1 August 1982 in Matori village of Beed district. His family later settled in Shahagarh. Jarange comes from the Maratha caste. Jarang is survived by his wife Sumitra, three daughters and a son. He is the youngest of four brothers and lives with parents. Despite being associated with the farmer family, he completely dedicated himself to social movements.
How educated are Manoj Jarn?
According to reports, Jarang has studied up to class 12th. After this, he quit his studies and started working completely for society and movement. Even though he did not progress much in education, his understanding and leadership ability on social issues made him the voice of thousands of people.

Start of movement and ‘Shivba Organization’
Many years ago, Manoj Jarang stepped into the Maratha reservation movement. Initially he performed locally, but over time his grip increased. Later he founded ‘Shivba Sanghatana’. Through this organization, he united the Maratha community and raised the demand for reservation in a peaceful but effective manner.
Government had an impact
Recently, when he started a hunger strike, people from all over Maharashtra joined him. The pressure of the movement increased so much that the government had to accept most of their demands. Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and other leaders, President of the Cabinet Sub -Committee of Maharashtra Government, met him and asked him to accept his 6 demands. Jarange called this decision a victory for the public.
