Who is Mohammad Abbas?
Mohammad Abbas is a New Zealand cricketer of Pakistani origin. He was born in November 2003 in Lahore city of Pakistan. The game of cricket runs in his veins because his father Azhar Abbas has played first-class cricket for Pakistan. Azhar Abbas played 45 first-class matches in his career, in which he took 154 wickets. Azhar later shifted to New Zealand, where he also played cricket for Wellington and Auckland. Azhar Abbas is now the assistant coach of the team named Wellington Firebords.
Mohammad Abbas has also established a new identity in cricket by following the footsteps of his father. He started his cricket career in New Zealand, represented Auckland and Wellington in Domestic Cricket. He scored more than 1,300 runs in 21 first-class matches played for Wellington, with his highest score 130 runs. Due to the increase in domestic cricket, at the age of 21, Mohammad Abbas has got an opportunity to make international debut.
New Zealand starts in ODI after T20 series
