Suryakumar Yadav injury: Indian T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav has recently undergone surgery of sports hernia in Germany. Sports hernia, the bottom of the stomach causes muscle injury, due to which Suryakumar has been suffering earlier. According to the news, Surya can start a rehabilitation process in BCCI’s Center of Excellence after about 2 weeks. It has always been making an interesting question whether the players themselves spend for surgery or other health related expenses or they get any allowance from BCCI.

According to the rules of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the board provides financial assistance to its cricketers, which also includes financial help. Surgery and health expenses come under this financial assistance. Players can claim for health under the cricketer medical reimbursement schemes playing right now, while there are separate provisions for retired players.

BCCI runs a Remberns Scheme, under which players can seek health related help. But only those cricketers can take advantage of this scheme, who have played at least 10 first-class matches in their career. At the same time, Indian cricketers like KL Rahul and Sunil Gavaskar are known for the help of other cricketers by doing charity.

This is about 3 years old when Indian cricketer KL Rahul helped an 11 -year -old cricketer for surgery in the year 2022. The cost of Rs 35 lakh was coming in surgery, out of which Rahul wasar the cost of 31 lakhs. At the same time, veteran cricketer Sunil Gavaskar runs ‘The Champs Foundation’, this institution helped Vinod Kambli a few months ago. But usually cricketer can take advantage of BCCI’s remuneration scheme.
