The countdown for voting for the first phase of Bihar assembly elections has started. Tejashwi Yadav has been declared the face of CM by the Grand Alliance. At the same time, RJD and Congress are prominently raising the issue that even after NDA’s victory, BJP will not make Nitish Kumar the CM.
NDA will get more than 160 seats: Amati Shah
In response to a question regarding this issue, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reiterated his earlier statement. He said that the post of Chief Minister in Bihar and Prime Minister in the country is not vacant. He claimed that NDA will win more than 160 seats in Bihar assembly elections.
In one of Aaj Tak’s interviews, Amit Shah was asked why he does not announce the name of CM face on behalf of NDA in a press conference (PC). In response to this question, the Home Minister said, “We have said many times in public forums that there is no vacancy for the post of Chief Minister and Prime Minister.”
‘The posts of CM and PM are not vacant’
In a rally in Bihar, Home Minister Amit Shah had said, “These Lalu-Rabri want to make their son the Chief Minister and Sonia ji wants to make her son the Prime Minister. I want to tell both of them, neither Lalu’s son will become the Chief Minister nor Sonia Gandhi’s son will become the Prime Minister. In Bihar, Nitish ji is on the Chief Minister’s chair and in Delhi, Modi ji is on the Prime Minister’s chair.”
BJP has captured Nitish Kumar: Congress
Addressing an election rally in Bihar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday (4 November 2025) claimed that BJP has captured Nitish Kumar. He said, “Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been captured by BJP and now Nitish Kumar’s government is never going to be formed in this state.”
Rahul Gandhi also said that just as television channels are changed through remote, similarly Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah change Nitish Kumar’s channel and the Chief Minister of Bihar does whatever these two top BJP leaders want.
