Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar gave many flop films in the last few years. His three films were released in 2024 and all three flopped. This year too, two of his films ‘Sky Force’ and ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ have been released so far, who did not do anything special at the box office. In such a situation, now film maker Sunil Darshan has given the real reason for Akshay Kumar’s films being a flop.
In the recent interview given to Vicky Lalwani, Sunil Darshan said- ‘When Akshay came into the industry, he was a handsome boy. In the early stages of his career, which lasted for eight years, he got some recognition and some progress. Then there came a period when his 13-14 films flopped, whether they were made by a big director or not.
‘He does not show any understanding while choosing a project’
Sunil Darshan further said- ‘Akshay is like Mithun Chakraborty, he signs films one after the other for the directors. I think in his second round, he lost his credibility due to this restlessness of signing and working. Akshay has performed well at the individual level. The only thing is that they do not show any understanding while choosing a project. During the animal, I did not need Akshay Kumar, because I had a lot of actors waiting for me to sign them.
The film maker said- ‘I think two things were effective for her and that was the reason why I signed her. One is very handsome and the other is very disciplined. I felt that he had all those abilities and he was always ready to stay completely dedicated in front of the director and his vision.

Sunil Darshan further revealed that Akshay Kumar does not remember the lines of the script. In such a situation, he has been speaking dialogues with the help of placards. Sunil said- ‘If an actor remembers his dialogue then it is a very good thing, but it has always been difficult for him to remember the entire pages of the dialogue. Initially, he worked in some way because he used to do less work then, but in later years when we started working together, he had some problem. We used to have placards to study for him and he is not the first person to do so.
