Why is Sanju Samson sitting outside?
The reason for Sanju Samson sitting out is his poor form. In the 5-match T20 series against New Zealand, Samson got a chance to open every time, but he could score only 46 runs in the entire series. On the other hand, Ishan Kishan has looked in good form since coming back to the team. Therefore, Ishan Kishan was seen opening with Abhishek Sharma in the match against USA.
Washington is not pretty fit
Washington Sundar was injured during the ODI series against New Zealand. During investigation it was found that he was suffering from side strain. He is currently under the observation of the medical team and has not yet received permission to take the field.
