Fans and celebs are very saddened by the demise of veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra. There is a wave of mourning everywhere. Dharmendra had a prayer meet on 27th November in which many Bollywood stars participated. Many stars including Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai had arrived but Aamir Khan could not go. He has given the reason for Dharmendra not being able to attend the prayer meet. Also, the story behind his son Azad’s first meeting with Dharmendra is told.
Aamir Khan has gone to the 56th International Film Festival of India. Where he talked about Dharmendra. He told that he had become very close to Dharmendra, especially in the last years of his life. Aamir told that he had met him about 7-8 times.
This is how I met Azad
Aamir told that when he was going to meet Dharmendra, he decided to take Azad with him. It was important for Azad to meet the great actor, whose work he had not actually experienced. Talking about Dharmendra, Aamir said- ,I grew up watching him, and I mean he was known as an action hero and He-Man. And yes, he was very good at playing these strong characters in action films. He was very good at it. But I think I don’t know if people have really noticed, I think they’ve been underrated. Her performance in romance or different genres, she has done very well.,
Why didn’t you go to the prayer meeting?
Aamir further said- ‘I mean, what a handsome man he is. Today I am actually not in Bombay, but today is their prayer meet, unfortunately. I am missing him. And I was very close to him because in the last, I would say in the last one year, I must have met him about 7-8 times. Because I liked his company very much, I used to go and sit with him.
