An interesting incident related to two Bollywood actresses has come to light from the reality show Indian Idol Season 16. Farida Jalal and Aruna Irani worked in many films during their time, but could not meet each other for almost 29 years. Both were part of the same film industry, yet both did not get a chance to talk. This was revealed recently on the stage of the show, which surprised even the audience.
Farida and Aruna became emotional after meeting each other
Both the actresses were seen together in the recent episode of ‘Indian Idol 16’. Also, pictures of Farida Jalal’s old films were shown, seeing which she became emotional. Recalling his early days, he said how fast time passed. Meanwhile, Aruna Irani told that they could not meet after the film ‘Bobby’. Both of them got almost similar roles in films. In such a situation, the filmmakers used to choose only one person, due to which both of them stopped working together and meeting each other. Aruna also said that it was because of this show that they were able to meet each other after so many years, which was a very special moment for them.
Aruna’s dance surprised Farida
Let us tell you, Farida and Aruna are one of the popular actresses of the 60s and 70s. Farida Jalal worked in films like ‘Aradhana’ and her pairing with Rajesh Khanna was liked. Whereas Aruna Irani was known for her brilliant dance and different style. Farida said in the show that she used to be surprised to see Aruna’s dance during ‘Bobby’ because she used to learn the steps very quickly. Later, both of them also worked in Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘O Romeo’, but here too they could not meet. Now meeting ‘Indian Idol 16’ after such a long time became a memorable moment for both of them.
