Akshay Khanna’s real brother Rahul Khanna, in a recent conversation with Mid-Day, told why he has not seen his brother’s biggest hit film till date. Rahul said, “I have not seen the film yet. I am waiting for them to show me the film.”

He also talked about Akshay’s screen presence and style and said, “Whatever he wears looks great on him, so I’m sure he will look great in the film too.”

How is Akshay’s bonding with Rahul?,
Rahul and Akshay are the sons of late veteran actors Vinod Khanna and Geetanjali Khanna. Their family history has been often discussed, especially Vinod Khanna’s decision to stay away from films and family life to follow spiritual guru Osho and then return to acting after many years. In an old interview with TOI, Akshay had talked about his relationship with Rahul and their unbreakable bond beyond their parents. “In that sense, it hasn’t changed. But the closest family a person can have are parents and siblings, and when it starts getting smaller, you value what’s left even more,” he said. Vinod Khanna later married Kavita Daftari, with whom he had two daughters, Sakshi and Shraddha Khanna.

The year 2025 was great for Akshay Khanna
2025 proved to be a historic year for Akshay. Along with Dhurandhar, he also played a strong negative role as Akbar in Vicky Kaushal starrer film ‘Chhaava’. ‘Chhaava’ was one of the highest-grossing films of the year until it was overtaken by ‘Dhurandhar’ in December. With the success of both the films, Akshay has become the second Bollywood actor after Shahrukh Khan to make a cumulative collection of Rs 2000 crore at the box office in a single year.
