According to the census held in 2011, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are two such big states where women produce the most children. According to the report, about 2.5 crore children were born in 2022 in India. The number of registered births in Uttar Pradesh was the highest number of 54.5 lakhs. This is followed by Bihar, where the figure is 30.7 lakh and Maharashtra was 19.2 lakhs. In Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, berth registration was high. Talking about the south, in the year 2022, there was a comparatively low berth registration in the states of the south. 9.4 lakh in Tamil Nadu, 7 lakh in Telangana, 7.5 in Andhra Pradesh, 10.4 lakh in Karnataka, only 4.4 lakh berths in Kerala.

Uttar Pradesh has increased by 40 percent since 2013, while Bihar has seen more than 16 lakh increase in 2013. Which has almost doubled in 10 years. Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have seen a gradual increase. In 2013, 10.4 lakh births were recorded in Karnataka, which increased to 11 lakhs by 2017, but then in 2022, to 10.4 lakhs. Tamil Nadu also had a decline trend. In Tamil Nadu in 2013, where birth registration was 11.9 lakhs, which was reduced to 9.4 lakhs in 2022.
Who ahead in sex ratio
Talking about the sex ratio, unfortunately many of these states are struggling with poor sex ratio. Despite the huge birth rate in Bihar, 891 women per thousand men are one of the lowest sex ratio in the country. Similarly, this sex ratio in Maharashtra is 906, Telangana 907, Gujarat 908, 916 in Haryana. At the same time, Nagaland has 1068 sex ratio which is the highest in India.
