‘Congress decided to break the song’
Rajnath said that in 1937, Congress had taken a decision to break the song, all generations should know about the political deceit and injustice with Vande Mataram. Returning the glory of Vande Mataram is the need of the hour and also a requirement of morality. Despite this injustice, the importance of Vande Mataram did not diminish. This became a form of life. Vande Mataram is complete in itself, but an attempt was made to make it incomplete.
The Defense Minister said that the immortal song of national spirit has been created, and it will remain forever, no power can diminish it. The injustice done to Vande Mataram was not one, it was the politics of appeasement, which Congress adopted. And politics divided the country and weakened unity on communal harmony after independence.
He said that today we are restoring the dignity of Vande Mataram, but some people may try to create a narrative that a wall is being built between Vande Mataram and the people, such an attempt shows a divisive mentality. Vande Mataram and Jana Gana are the cries of two sons of Mother India, two eyes… Both Vande Mataram and Jana Gana are national pride. Those who neither understand the origin of civilization, those who neither accept the importance of culture, those who ignored traditions, they were neither able to understand earlier, nor are they able to understand now.
‘This anniversary celebration is not a show’
He said that this anniversary celebration is not a show, it is a pledge to give due respect to Vande Mataram. Today we have to correct this mistake. We have to get rid of political bias. Some people found Anandmath communal. Vande Mataram and Anandmath were never against Islam. These lines of Vande Mataram seemed communal and political because he was looking through the lens of Jinnah. These lines of Vande Mataran symbolize the soul of India. A large faction of Congress did not stop its game of appeasement politics. Considering religion as religion, and mother worship as idol worship, could have been the plan of the British and the Muslim League because their political interests were hidden.
‘Vande Mataram was broken’
He said that Vande Mataram was fragmented and made a victim of appeasement. Not only did it fail to prevent partition, it became the cause of partition. The anxiety to show oneself as secular had increased so much that anything related to India’s tradition appeared communal to them. Asked Nehru ji what would happen if communists come to power tomorrow, Nehru ji had said that the threat to India is not communal, the threat to India is Hindu right-wing communalism. The same right wing has worked on the values of the Constitution. Never disregarded the values of the Constitution.
‘How many generations were ruined by communist extremism?’
He said that many generations have been ruined due to left wing extremism born out of communist ideology. The previous government could not find a solution to the problem of Naxalism, if anyone did, it is our PM Modi, under his leadership left wing extremism is on the way to complete end. Due to appeasement, refugees from neighboring countries were deprived of rights for decades and Muslim women were deprived of equal rights.
He said that India was divided, today people have to migrate from Bengal. It is an irony that the Naxalites who challenged unity and integrity were born from the same land from where the trumpet of national unity was raised. The same land from where women’s rights started has become unsafe for women. Where the first ICS came from, today youth are getting frustrated due to unemployment. Today, saffron is being made fun of in the land where Swami Vivekananda came out wearing saffron clothes. This decline of Bengal has happened because of Leftism, because of Trinamool, because of appeasement, because of giving shelter to infiltrators. Bankimchandra had said that Bengal belonged to both Hindus and Muslims, could he write communal songs.
