Why is it important to apologize?
It is common to make intentional or unintentional mistakes during puja, such as mispronouncing words, making mistakes in rituals, or getting distracted. Therefore, after completing the puja, definitely ask for forgiveness from God. There is a special mantra prescribed for this.
apology mantra
Avahanham na janami na janami visarjanam,
Worship Chaiva Na Janami Khamsva Parmeshwar.
“Without mantra, without action, without devotion, Janardan.”
Yatpoojitam maya deva perfect tadastu mein.”
This mantra means, Oh God! I don’t know how to invoke you or worship you. I do not know the proper methods of worship. I lack mantras, deeds and devotion. Please accept my offering and forgive me if I make any mistakes.
The reason for apologizing is very simple. While worshiping God, we usually commit mistakes knowingly or unknowingly. Therefore, it is very important to ask for forgiveness from God after worship.
Whenever we commit any mistake in life, it is very important to immediately seek forgiveness, whether it is from God or from others. Asking for forgiveness reduces ego and increases love and intimacy in relationships.
This practice reflects the spirit of true devotion and humanity. So when we ask for forgiveness from God at the end of our worship, it is not only a religious duty but also a sign of humility and introspection.
