Arshad Warsi has always been seen impressing people with his acting. He is becoming famous in whatever film or series he is seen in. Arshad got his real recognition by playing the character of Sarket in Munna Bhai MBBS. He was very much liked in this film. Arshad’s film Munna Bhai Chale America was also going to be released. The poster of the film was also released. But later it was shelved. Arshad has given the reason behind the closure of the film. Also told that he had left many films for this.
Arshad Warsi told in an interview to The Lallantop why the makers finally decided to close the film. Arshad said – As far as I know, the story of Shahrukh Khan’s My Name is Khan was very similar to Munna Bhai Chale America. Munna Bhai goes to America, Munna Bhai and I both meet the President of the US.
Rajkumar Hirani is particular about his work
Arshad further said- ‘Director Rajkumar Hirani is very particular about originality. He doesn’t like it at all when his work matches other films. Not only this, after coming to know about Oh My God, he had written the second half of PK several times.
Munna Bhai was about to refuse MBBS
Arshad Warsi told that he was going to refuse Munna Bhai MBBS because at that time he felt that he was stuck playing small roles and was afraid that Sarket was also going to be a similar character. He said- ‘I did not want to do any more small roles. So I was going to tell him that sir please call me if there is a good role. If I keep doing small roles like this, my career will be over.
