There was a lot of uproar on the first day of winter session
On Monday, the first day of the winter session of Parliament, the proceedings in the Lok Sabha were disrupted due to uproar by members of the opposition parties over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list and some other issues and the House was adjourned for the day after two adjournments.

Amidst the uproar, Lok Sabha passed ‘Manipur’ Goods and Services Tax ‘(Second Amendment) Bill, 2025’ passed. Amidst the sloganeering of the opposition members, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced the ‘Central Excise (Amendment) Bill, 2025’ and ‘Health Protection to National Security Cess Bill, 2025’.
