He said, “Palash has a lot of attachment to uncle… both of them are closer than Smriti. When they got married, before Smriti, Palash decided that they should not visit him till uncle gets well.”

Amita Muchhal further told how the deteriorating health of Smriti’s father had an emotional impact on Palash. He said, “Since Haldi was there, we did not let her go out. She became very ill while crying. Had to be kept in the hospital for 4 hours. IV drip was done, ECG was done and other tests were done. Everything came normal, but there is a lot of stress.”
