With the announcement of the dates of Bihar assembly elections, there has been a stir in the political corridors. The discussion of a possible alliance between Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan and election strategist Prashant Kishore is in full swing. It is being said that both parties can enter the Bihar electoral fray after mutual alliance.

Ongoing talks between LJP and BJP regarding seat sharing
Negotiations are going on between LJP and BJP regarding seat sharing. Chirag Paswan is demanding 40 seats out of 243 seats. He claims that he had won 5 out of 5 seats in the last Lok Sabha election, so he should get more seats. At the same time, BJP is allegedly in favor of giving only 25 seats. Party sources told NDTV that ‘doors are always open in politics’, so such an alliance cannot be completely denied.

Chirag wants special seats
LJP wants it to get ‘quality seats’. Chirag told NDTV, “I will not tell the names of seats on the public platform, because it will be morally wrong.” The BJP has postponed the seat -sharing conversation till after the announcement of election dates, so that the defection of potential leaders can be stopped if the ticket is not available.

Advantage and disadvantage of alliance with PK
If Chirag Paswan and Prashant Kishore come together, it will be a unique and unexpected step for both. This alliance will give LJP a chance to contest more seats, but due to Prashant Kishore’s first election innings, this coalition may not be more helpful in strengthening Paswan’s ambition to become the Chief Minister. The majority figure in Bihar Legislative Assembly is 122 seats. It will not be easy for LJP -PK alliance to challenge big parties like BJP, JDU and RJD.

Strategy to increase pressure on BJP
LJP sources believe that the discussion of the alliance with Prashant Kishore can increase the pressure on the BJP in seat sharing. The party wants him to be given seats in “respectable” numbers. Chirag Paswan has already said that he is like salt in vegetables… He can affect 20 to 25 thousand votes on every seat. He made it clear that he is in the BJP alliance, but he has the option to get out at any time. The BJP, not taking this statement seriously, called it a strategy to show the pressure within LJP.

Chirag’s eye on CM post
Chirag Paswan has given the slogan of ‘Abki Bar, Yuva Bihari’ this time, which is similar to the BJP’s Lok Sabha elections. With this, he has tried to present himself as a possible successor of Nitish Kumar. The LJP strategy is now focused on establishing Paswan as a strong leader in the state.

Tejashwi Yadav stops speculation of alliance
The speculation of the alliance between Tejashwi Yadav and Chirag Paswan has now calmed down. Analysts say that it would be difficult for Chirag to get in the opposition to get a place of leadership, and the presence of the Congress would have reduced the possibility of becoming the Chief Minister.
