Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that he did not tell anyone except President Trump that India would stop buying Russian oil. He said, ‘I have not heard such a statement from anyone else, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi or other Indian representatives. ‘He said that there is no basis to believe that the agreement between Moscow and New Delhi is in danger.

Trump’s claim regarding India-America trade deal

Regarding the India-US trade deal, Donald Trump had claimed that India has agreed to stop purchasing oil from Russia and buy crude oil from America-Venezuela. However, India has said that it is free to buy oil from any country to meet the needs of its people. Russia accused America of stopping India and other countries from buying Russian oil.

Russia has said that Washington is using a variety of ‘coercive’ measures, including tariffs, sanctions and direct sanctions, to achieve its objective of global economic dominance. Sergei Lavrov said, ‘It is trying to control our trade, investment cooperation and military-technical relations with major strategic partners like India and other BRICS members.’

Russia warns European countries regarding Greenland

Russia has issued a stern warning to European countries regarding Greenland. Sergei Lavrov has threatened the Russian Parliament that his military will retaliate if the Western country increases its military presence in Greenland. Regarding the situation in Greenland, Sergei Lavrov said that recent developments show that the world has entered a period of long-lasting change.

Lavrov earlier said that Russia had accepted the US proposal on Ukraine during the talks held in Alaska between President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Trump last year. He said, ‘We were told that the Ukraine issue should be resolved. In Anchorage, we accepted America’s offer. Simply put, he made a proposal and we agreed, the problem should be solved.
