Since LPG is usually used extensively for cooking in our country. In such a situation, the impact of the decrease in its prices can affect people in the number of crores. In addition, commercial LPG is used from hotels, restaurants and other business objectives. In such a situation, people are eagerly waiting to know whether these will also be cheap.
Will LPG cylinder be cheaper?
Since domestic and commercial LPG cylinders are different, they currently have different rates of GST. Currently, 5 percent GST is charged on domestic cylinders, while 18 percent GST is imposed on commercial cylinders. In the GST Council meeting held on September 3, there was no change in GST rates on the domestic use LPG cylinder used for cooking in the kitchen of common people. That is, 5 percent (2.5 percent CGST + 2.5 percent SGST) will be charged on these as before. Currently, the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi is Rs 853. At the same time, 18 percent GST will be imposed on commercial use cylinders as before.
