During a media channel program in Patna, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that after the victory of NDA, the legislative party will decide on the post of Chief Minister.
Legislative party will choose its leader- Shah
Amit Shah made it clear that at present the alliance is fighting the elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, and not only BJP but also the people of Bihar have faith in him. On the question of CM face, Shah said, ‘Who am I to make anyone the Chief Minister. There is an alliance of so many parties. After the elections, there will be a meeting of the legislative party and it will decide its leader. At present we are contesting the elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and he is leading our election campaign.
The people of Bihar also have faith in him – Amit Shah
During a program, when Amit Shah was asked whether Nitish Kumar would still be the Chief Minister if BJP had more MLAs in the elections, he said, ‘We still have more MLAs, yet Nitish Kumar is the Chief Minister.’ On the question related to confidence in Nitish Kumar, the Home Minister said that Nitish is an important leader of Indian politics and his association with Congress has never been long. He told that Nitish Kumar never joined Congress and whenever he stayed with Congress, that time was not more than two and a half years. Shah said that to judge a leader, his entire political life should be seen.
‘Nitish has been anti-Congress since birth’- Shah
Referring to the political background of Nitish Kumar, Amit Shah said, ‘He basically comes from socialist ideology. He has been against Congress since childhood. He played an important role in the JP movement and fought strongly against the Congress during the Emergency. He further said, ‘I have full confidence that not only BJP but also the people of Bihar have faith in Nitish Kumar.’
