The Supreme Court has reprimanded his wife Leena Pologe, demanding an early hearing on the bail plea of Jail, jailed in the case of forced recovery of Rs 200 crore. On Wednesday (September 3, 2025), Leena Polose requested the Supreme Court to hear the bail plea of Sukesh Chandrashekhar, filed in the Delhi High Court.
According to the PTI report, the court told him that the tendency to move to the Supreme Court for early hearing of cases is increasing and it will not be tolerated. Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra were hearing the bench case. The bench said, ‘This is not acceptable. Everyone comes here due to the Supreme Court passing and then requests the adjournment order.
What did Leena Polose say?
Leena Polose’s lawyer argued in the Supreme Court that every day the case is listed in the Delhi High Court, but it is not being heard. The case was also listed for hearing on Wednesday. The lawyer on Wednesday demanded the postponement of the hearing on the case in the Delhi High Court, on which the court agreed.
What are the allegations against Sukesh Chandrashekhar?
The Supreme Court was hearing a petition by Leena Polose, requesting a quick hearing on her bail plea. Delhi Police has registered a case against Chandrashekhar for cheating Rs 200 crore from wives of former Ranbaxi promoters Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh. Investigation is going on against him in many different cases.
Pollz and Chandrashekhar, facing investigation in a money laundering case of the Enforcement Directorate, were arrested by the Delhi Police in the case of forcible recovery. The police has also imposed the Maharashtra Organized Crime Control Act (MCOCA) in this case. Delhi Police alleged that Paulose, Chandrashekhar and other accused collected money through hawala and formed fake companies to hide the money received from the crime.
