There has been a stir in Karnataka politics after a statement given by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Yathindra on Wednesday (October 22, 2025). Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Yatindra gave a statement at a function regarding his father’s political career. During this, he also said that the state now needs progressive and ideologically thinking leaders. At the same time, he has also hinted towards Minister Satish Jarkiholi being the next Chief Minister in the state government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Actually, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Yatindra gave this statement during the unveiling ceremony of the statue of Saint Kanakdas in Kappalgudi village of Raibag taluk of Belagavi district of the state. Addressing the function, Yatindra said, ‘My father is in the last phase of his political life. Karnataka now needs progressive and ideologically thinking leaders. Satish Jarkiholi is fully capable of fulfilling this responsibility. He will lead us by setting an example.

After Yatindra’s statement came out, there has been a stir in the political streets of the state and speculations about change of leadership within the ruling party have also become heated. There is speculation in the political circles that ‘Has Yathindra indicated that Satish Jarkiholi can be the next Chief Minister of Karnataka? Has the CM’s chair now tilted towards the Jarkiholi family? Has Yatindra also hinted at November Revolution during his address? At the same time, Yatindra has also clarified that his statement was related to his father’s decision of not contesting the assembly elections to be held in the year 2028.
